My training philosophy;

I have been training horses professionally since 2001 and teaching riding lessons since 2006.

My training method is based on Positive Reinforcement and Dressage principles with an emphasize on horse behavior and individual training needs.  I design a training program based on a horse’s personal needs, including their care and companionship needs.  Taking the time to teach the horse to do things naturally at their own pace is my priority. This creates a happy, healthy, and well-adjusted equine partner.  My goal with every horse I train is to give them the foundation of knowledge and training to go in many directions and riding disciplines while they are at, and after they leave my facility, and to have the mindset to be worked with and ridden by many different riders in age, level, and skill.

My lesson program is based on teaching Positive Reinforcement, Horsemanship and Equitation, and the proper handling and care of a horse or pony.  I believe in creating a well-versed rider and horse handler able to respond appropriately to any situation while enjoying a partnership with their equine.  Lessons are offered in several disciplines and include age and skill level appropriate movements (walk, trot, canter, etc.), patterns and games.  At the end of each lesson we spend time doing Horse Yoga. Horse Yoga is Yoga movements done while on horseback.  This helps a student with their balance, proper breathing, relaxation, and confidence while riding.
