I purchased Baxter when he was 9 months old to raise as my new show horse/trail horse. At one and two years of age I showed him in halter and showmanship at local horse shows. At three I began showing him in walk-trot classes in english and his four year old year we began competing in the all-around events in walk-trot. That year I found myself in need of another lesson horse so Baxter stepped up and not only became my youngest lesson horse but my youngest student's favorite horse. Baxter currently competes in Mounted Archer events as well as trail riding and ponying training horses. He is available to select students for lessons.
Baxter is a 2009 Black Percheron gelding standing 18 hands tall.
Lily was sent to us as a three year old to be started under saddle. During her stay here, her owners lost their jobs and were forced to sell her. Because Lily has a large scar on the left side of her neck, no one was interested in buying her. We offered to take her and the rest is history. Lily finished her training and is now a lesson horse whose quiet nature and bouncy trot, has made her the favorite among the youngest students.
Lily is a 2005 APHA/PTHA Sorrel and White Overo and stands 15.3 hands tall.
Libby came to the farm at 3 months old and began her show career as a yearling. At four, she competed at the Pinto World Championship horse show in Tulsa Oklahoma, competing in Halter, Showmanship and English Events. While there, she received third overall in hunter type halter out of a class of 54. Later that year she contracted a bad cold which later led to her retirement from showing. She has now fully recovered and is our main lesson horse.
She is a 2003 APHA/PTHA Black and White Overo and stands 15.3 hands tall.
